Dam E

The ponds of Nanatsudo Park are joined by five dams, ‘Dam A’ through ‘Dam E’, designed in a variety of styles to illustrate the progress of time, from ancient to modern times, in a downstream sequence.
Dam E is the farthest downstream, and the most modern in construction, of the five dams.
The ‘cascade’ (water staircase) and pavilion serve as the south gateway to the park. Elegant in design, they recreate the atmosphere of an Italian garden, inviting you to walk inside.
